The majority of projects benefiting the Haitian education system target schoolchildren or the buildings that house schools. Teachers, who are a pillar of the system, are often neglected. The EVOHeroes project, led by the EVOH-USA branch, aims to help rectify this imbalance. In January 2022, our first action was to collect USD 3,000 and redistribute it as bonuses to 60 teachers located in southern Haiti, particularly those affected by the August 2021 earthquake.  The Haiti-Futur association, which has long worked in this region, assisted us in selecting the beneficiary teachers and with the logistics for transferring the funds.
